Conservation Today. Education for Tomorrow. Advocacy for Louisiana’s Future.

Our Mission

To promote a future where agriculture thrives through the wise
use and conservation of our natural resources by means of
advocacy, outreach, and educational events.

About us

Building a Sustainable Future for Louisiana

The Louisiana Association of Conservation Districts (LACD) supports and represents Louisiana’s 44 Soil and Water Conservation Districts. Guided by the interconnected principles of soil, water, air, plants, animals, and energy (SWAPA+E), we promote conservation through education, advocacy, and collaboration. Together with our partners, we help local districts implement practical solutions that protect natural resources, strengthen communities, and ensure a sustainable future for Louisiana.
